International Women’s Media Foundation Extends Deadline for Leadership Institute
Washington, DC – The International Women’s Media Foundation is extending the deadline for its Leadership Institute for Women Journalists. Applications will be accepted through May 31.
The Leadership Institute for Women Journalists is a week-long program that builds on the innovative leadership training programs the IWMF has offered in the U.S. since 1999. It will be held July 10-14 in Chicago, and up to 25 women journalists from print, broadcast and online news media will be accepted. Tuition is $550 per person and covers training, housing, materials and most meals.
The Leadership Institute is made possible by a grant from the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation.

The IWMF was launched in 1990; its mission is to strengthen the role of women in the news media worldwide. The IWMF network includes more than 1,500 women and men in the media in more than 130 countries worldwide.
