Peggy White Warren is the founder of White Warren Co. which provides clients with digital marketing, business and product development strategies from planning board through execution and beyond. Previously, she was responsible for setting the program direction and strategy for Digital Publishing Products at Federated Media Publishing, Inc., and served as the publisher of Double X, The Slate Group’s online women’s magazine.
White also served as general manager of Yahoo! Finance from 2005-2007. She oversaw all areas of operations for the financial website, which has an audience of more than 30 million users each month. White was responsible for all product development and partner relationships, as well as driving sales and advertising for the site.
Prior to joining Yahoo! Finance, White served as vice president and general manager of BusinessWeek online, where she oversaw multiple facets of the website, including sales, business development, operations and product development. White previously served as senior vice president of sales and business development for MSNBC.com, where she was responsible for the website’s revenue and partnership operations, and strategic development of international markets.
From 1995 through 1998, White was the director of new media for National Basketball Association Television and New Media Ventures. In that role, she introduced emerging media technology to the NBA (and the Women’s National Basketball Association) and was responsible for its product and strategic development. She also served as a senior consultant on NBA’s advertising strategy team for its traditional media businesses. White joined the NBA from the Phoenix Communications Group, where she led the television programming sales and syndication for Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League.
