Ten winners of Knight-Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism were announced Aug. 8. Recipients were chosen from a field of 133 entries by a national panel of judges. Awards are administered by J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism at the University of Maryland. The top winner will be announced Sept. 17 at the National Press Club.
