UNESCO is accepting nominations of candidates for its 2007 UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize. Named in honor of a Colombian journalist who was killed in 1986 for criticizing the country's drug lords, the $25,000 prize honours a person or organization that has made a notable contribution to the defense and promotion of press freedom anywhere in the world.
