Sudan Detains Radio Dabanga Journalists

The Washington Post reports that Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services raided the offices of Radio Dabanga, the country’s last uncensored media outlet, arresting 13 journalists and human rights activists, including six women.   Read the full story here.

Students from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, were the guests of long-time Courage in Journalism Awards supporters The Humana Foundation and Humana Inc. at the awards ceremonies in New York on October 19.
